PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This symposium will bring together experts from around the world to engage in a lively in-depth discussion on the key clinical questions and controversies in the diagnosis of lysosomal storage diseases (LSDs) and the future direction of LSD management. This program will address the consequences of delayed diagnosis and treatment initiation, and help you better understand diagnostic options. The experts will discuss genotype–phenotype correlations and their significance for daily clinical practice, and provide perspectives on emerging therapeutic developments and strategies for the treatment of LSDs.

AGENDA

The scientific session will run from 6:30 to 7:30 PM and will include discussions on topics related to:
  • Early diagnosis and treatment initiation in daily clinical practice
  • The next frontiers in LSD management

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

  1. Recognize the consequences of delayed diagnosis and treatment initiation for patients with LSDs
  2. Describe the key diagnostic algorithms for the evaluation of LSDs, and discuss genotype-phenotype correlations
  3. Become aware of the emerging treatment strategies and investigational therapies for LSDs, and their potential in optimizing clinical management
